Community Media Training School
The new ‘virtual’ Community Media Training School operated by Citizens Eye was launched on Monday 4th February.
The Community News Cafe that operates every Tuesday 9.30-10.30am at the Coffee Republic on Granby Street, will continue to be the first port of call for anyone interested in volunteering as a Community Reporter and looking for details of ‘free’ community media taster workshops.
An ‘open’ newsroom in the College of Journalism Training Room at BBC Radio Leicester operates every Tuesday between 1-4pm.
Simon Parker, editor of Citizens Eye said: “this ‘virtual’ training school had been planned for a while so to see it come to life is real progress for Citizens Eye.”
A new training brochure is currently under development. It will be available to view online soon.
