The 20th June each year is World Refugee Day, and since 1998 ‘Refugee Week’ - the week in which 20th June falls - has been marked by events and activities across the UK.

There are many asylum seekers ‘living’ in Leicester who do not have anywhere to live or any financial support - these are some of the majority of asylum seekers who have been through the asylum system and because of a lack of legal support, a lack of acceptable ‘evidence’, etc. cannot prove the persecution they [...] [...more]
