Editor: I recently met with Jackie Perkins, Editor of the deafZINE to find out about the deaf-leicester website and their fantastic magazine.

Jackie said: “We at deaf-leicester started deafZINE – the community magazine created FOR the deaf, BY the deaf! because of the feedback we received from our readers, when the deaf-leicester website was launched.

We discovered that the majority of the deaf community had little or no I.T. access, which meant our website was inaccessible to them, so we created a newsletter as well.”

Why don’t you check out their great website below and read the latest edition of deafZINE.

I’ve set myself the challenge of learning the British Sign Language (BSL) A to Z and something tell’s me that Jackie will definately be testing me the next time we meet!

deaf-leicester website

deafZINE magazine pdf

Your input will make a difference to deaf-leicester….
