Find Out More About The Youth Offending Service Today
An open day is being held for anyone who would like to find out more about the work of the Leicestershire Youth Offending Service (YOS).
The informal event will be held between 3pm and 8pm on Monday, March 11 at County Hall, Leicester Road, Glenfield.
There will be an opportunity to find out more about the service and the way it works with young people, their families / carers, victims of crime and local communities to tackle anti-social behaviour and prevent and reduce re-offending.
There will be small presentations, DVDs, general discussions and an opportunity for people to meet the teams who work to prevent and deal with offending.
Joe Orson, Leicestershire County Council Cabinet Member for Safer Communities, said: “This event will give both members of the public and professionals the opportunity to find out more about some of the great work the Youth Offending Service carries out with both young people and the wider community.
“There will also be a chance for anyone who is interested to find out more about becoming a YOS volunteer and what that involves.”
People are asked to book their places by emailing
youthoffendingservice@leics.gov.uk or by calling 0116 3050030 stating their name, contact details and, if appropriate, job role.
