From The Equality and Diversity Forum:
‘The other care crisis: Making social care funding work for disabled adults in England’ was published by Scope, Mencap, The National Autistic Society, Sense and Leonard Cheshire Disability in January 2013.
The research ‘exposes the true scale of the Government’s social care crisis for disabled people, which has left thousands without access to basic care to help them eat, wash properly and leave their homes’.
Scope, Mencap, The National Autistic Society, Sense and Leonard Cheshire Disability have launched a campaign to ‘Free the 100,000!’ and stop denying everyday freedoms to disabled people.
