University Launches Clandestine Cake Club Cookbook

 A baking event, open to all, will take place at the University of Leicester Bookshop to mark the launch of The Clandestine Cake Club Cookbook by Lynn Hill. 

The event will be hosted on the 16th February from 2pm-4pm.

Clare Harwood, from the University of Leicester Bookshop, commented: “The Clandestine Cake Club began in Leeds with the intent of getting people together for tea, cake and good conversation.  “We approached local clubs to invite them to host their next meeting at the bookshop as it would be a good opportunity to for people to see our campus and its facilities and for the local public to find out more about future bookshop events.”

Members of local club, Stoneygate and Knighton, will be bringing cakes to showcase and share. Judging of the baking competition will begin at 2:30pm and prize giving is set for 3pm.

Entry is free, tea is provided and visitors are encouraged to share baking tips and ideas.
