A survey for partners and individuals who may need help.
The Department of Works and Pensions (DWP) will from 1st April 2013 transfer the responsibility for the discretionary funding from the current Social Fund to Local Authorities. The transfer of responsibility from DWP comes without any guidance and with a reduced funding framework.
Leicestershire County Council has been developing a local scheme called ‘Leicestershire Welfare Provision’ in consultation with partner organisations, such as yourselves. Changes to the eligibility criteria have already been made, following your comments in early January.
They would now like to seek further comments from both partners/stakeholders and individuals on the attached revised eligibility criteria by Thursday 28th February 2013. These comments will help influence the eligibility criteria to be applied from the 1st April 2013 in Leicestershire.
Please could you have a look at the survey aimed at partner agencies: http://www.leics.gov.uk/lnsf.htm
Please could you inform people using your service about the survey, and encourage them to comment if they wish. The survey for individuals can be found here: http://www.leics.gov.uk/welfareprovision.htm
