The Institute of Race Relations has released an overview of racist attacks and convictions between October and December 2012.

The article places a large focus on racism within the football industry and fan community but not at the exclusion of anything else. It divides its attention between racism in football, anti-Muslim attacks, attacks on people in their homes, street attacks, attacks in the night time economy and attacks on workers. I

t’s a sobering account of where we are, as a society, regarding the prevalence of racial violence which all too often gets quickly reported in the media and then forgotten about.
