We are holding a Special Constable Recruiting Seminar at Leicestershire Police HQ.
Date: Monday 25th February 2013
Venue: Leicestershire Police HQ, St. Johns, Enderby, Leicester LE19 2BX.
If you are unable to attend the seminar and wish to obtain an application form, please email the HR Service Centre.
Leicestershire Police is committed to the principles of Equality, Fairness and Diversity, and we welcome applications from all sections of the community in our efforts to recruit a diverse and flexible workforce that reflects the region we serve.
The Police Recruiting Team and Special Constables will be there to give first hand information about being a Special. They will talk about the role of the volunteer constable, the training involved and their duties and responsibilities.
Special Officers come from all walks of life and volunteer to undertake policing duties alongside Regular Officers. They develop skills that are transferable and are highly valued by employers. They are asked to volunteer a minimum of four hours a week. Although unpaid, we will cover some expenses; offer extensive training, a Leicestershire Police uniform and the opportunity to gain a wide variety of skills that are transferable to existing or future employers.
Although on this occasion there is no need to book your place, it is essential that you arrive early as parking is limited and only available in adjoining streets. Please use public transport where possible. Please note no late arrivals will be accepted. In the event of high demand on the day, places will be allocated on first come basis. We would also recommend that you check if you meet all of the eligibility criteria for Special Constables before you attend.
Leicestershire Police is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from all sections of the community to better reflect the diverse community we serve.
