Loughborough MP, Nicky Morgan has thrown her support behind a major
project to promote heritage attractions and independent museums in
Charnwood to visitors.
The ‘Great Central Railway Heritage Corridor’ is a project delivered by
Leicester Shire Promotions and funded by a Renaissance Strategic Support
funding grant from Arts Council England. The project is aimed at
cross-promoting a variety of heritage centres and museums linked to the
Grand Central Railway through marketing and audience development
activity including the training of new tourist guides for the area.
Nicky Morgan, MP for Loughborough, said: “Charnwood Borough has some
wonderful heritage. I am a frequent visitor to the Great Central Railway
so I am delighted that this project is promoting this and other great
attractions in the area.”
