Big Garden Bird Watch in Abbey Park

People will be on the lookout for garden birds of all kinds at an event in Abbey Park this weekend.

On, Saturday, January 26, the park will host the community event at its education centre from 9am to 11am, as part of national RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch project. The event is designed to record details and numbers of local bird populations.

Local youngsters from the 86th Leicester Scouts and Beavers will be joining park users to help identify birds. The park is known to be home to the green woodpecker and the tree creeper.
