Leicester Catherdral Vigil for Indian Rape Victim

A number of people will be gathering 2pm tomorrow (Sunday) at Leicester Cathedral to hold a ceremony for the young Indian medical student.

She was subjected to a horrific rape in India and has subsequently died due to her ordeal.

The young girl only known as “Damini” was raped whilst traveling on a bus back from the cinema with a friend. She was subjected to a horrific ordeal by 6 local men.

The purpose of the gathering tomorrow is to pay respects to this brave young girl.

This service is open to all people across different faiths.
