Questionnaire on BME Communities Inequalities in Mental Health

Questionnaire on BME Communities Inequalities in Mental Health thumbnail

The Joint Commissioning Panel for Mental Health are developing a new tool for commissioners entitled ‘Ethnicity, inclusion and inequalities: a guide for commissioners’

We urgently need your help in developing this new guide.  To do this, we are asking everyone with an interest in mental healthcare for Black and Minority Ethnic Communities to (a) complete the following questionnaire and (b) send it on to colleagues:

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/C8VFMQK

Whether you are a service user, carer, practitioner, manager, commissioner, or someone with an interest in this area, your views would be invaluable. The findings will be used to develop the new product on (i) providing culturally sensitive and effective mental health services for people and (ii) improving mental wellbeing in Black and Minority Ethnic communities.

I realise that you are incredibly busy, but I do hope you can help with this important issue.

The survey will take no longer than 10 minutes to complete, and will remain open until the 17 December.

With thanks,

Neil Deuchar (Co-Chair of the Joint Commissioning Panel for Mental Health)

Sashi Sashidharan and Kam Bhui (co-leads of the JCP guide on ‘Ethnicity, inclusion and inequalities’)
