Mighty Creatives & Skills Academy Events

The Mighty Creatives (TMC) have been selected as one of eight organisations nationally to act as a Cluster Lead representing the Skills Academy in the East Midlands hoping to build a much more extensive Skills Academy presence nationwide. At TMC we excited by the opportunity to help focus and support local knowledge on region-specific issues, particularly around increasing the numbers of creative apprenticeships and skills development and are using this opportunity to bring employers, Founder Colleges and other educational settings together to discuss, collaborate and build creative solutions to local issues.

The Mighty Creatives are hosting a series of events for arts and cultural organisations, creative industries and educational settings interested in finding out more about the services offered by the Skills Academy at which we’ll provide information about creative apprenticeships, the Skills Academy network and membership and Skills Academy resources to help your organisation help young people get into the industry.

Briefing Event
Wednesday 8 February, 3 – 5pm
Leicester Creative Business Depot, Rutland Street, Leicester
A briefing and network event for arts and cultural organisations and practitioners, creative industries and educational settings. You’ll get up to date information on the Skills Academy including the world-first, cutting edge training centre being built in Thurrock. There will be time for questions, discussion and networking. Refreshments provided.

Surgeries
Friday 10 February, 10am – 4pm
Broadway Cinema, Broad Street, Nottingham
Regular 45 minute surgeries taking place throughout the day for arts and cultural organisations, creative industries and educational settings. They will include a brief presentation and time for questions, discussion and networking.

New apprenticeship opportunities for young people at TMC

We are holding an open afternoon / evening on Tuesday 31st January at the LCB Depot in Leicester for potential applicants to find out more about TMC and the apprenticeships offered. If you are available on the afternoon please do feel free to drop in and find out more about more about the thinking and processes behind the development of apprenticeships and share with us and the young people the rich diversity of the creative and cultural sector…. our wonderful venue Mobile TMC will be set up in the LCB Depot courtyard.
