Launch of Community News Cafe

On Tuesday 6th July I’m pleased to announce the launch of the ‘Community News Cafe‘.

Our friends at Kona Blue Coffees in the Highcross have agreed to host us every Tuesday from 9.30-10.30am.

If you want to find out more information about becoming a Citizen Reporter and joining us in the exciting challenge of recruiting 2,012 Citizen Reporters by 2012 join us tomorrow morning. The Community News Cafe will also give us the chance to meet members of community groups who would like help in getting their message out to a wider audience including the mainstream media especially the Leicester Mercury & BBC Radio Leicester.

Come and find out about some of the following….. Sky Ride Leicester 29th August, Community Media Week 8-13th November, the Community Media Training School, broadcast skills workshops, photography workshops, the Community Media Hubs planned for the 2012 Olympics & Paralympics….and much more.
