Short Break Fostering

Shirley Barnes, of Leicester City Council’s Fostering and Adoption Team, has been promoting the Short Break Scheme at the Central Lending Library in Belvoir Street. Short Break hopes to encourage people to get involved in fostering a disabled child for short periods.

This gives parents or carers the chance to have some free time or to concentrate on other family members.
