A fun filled schedule of events has been planned in time for next week’s half term holiday at Gorse Hill City Farm.

The farm on Anstey Lane will be hosting a story telling day on Tuesday February 16.

Farmer, Tom Chambers said: “We have three slots of story telling sessions throughout the day.”

Visitors can meet Leicester’s emergency services on Thursday February 18, when the police, ambulance services and fire brigade will meet and greet farm goers.

Gorse Hill City Farm – which is a registered charity – relies on donations to operate.

Mr Chambers said: “We suggest a donation of £2 for adults and £1 for children.”

The popular attraction – which draws 30,000 visitors each year – covers 14 acres of land and is home to a variety of animals including rare breeds of pig.

Green fingered visitors won’t have to go home empty handed.

Mr Chambers said: “We have some manure we need to get rid of too.”
