Promising female entrepeneurs will engage in a series of motivational workshops in Beaumont Leys next week.
The project – run by Leicester Business Women – will begin with Now is the Time, an event designed to help women set up in business.
Nicole Hocking who is responsible for the Beaumont Leys workshops, said: “We are here to help you with your dream.
“It does not matter what stage you are at in your business, whether starting up or established, working from home or from your own office.”
Leicester Business Women – who are funded through European regional development and working neighbourhood funding – is a three year project which began in April last year.
Together, Leicester Business Women hope to provide females of Beaumont Leys with the inspiration they need to go the distance in business.
Serena Alexandra who regularly attends the events, said: “The workshops are fantastic – a great way to build self confidence, and at the same time, starting your business.”
Project coordinator, Heena Mistry, said: “Our clients are taken through various exercises where they are able to build relationships with other women on the programme.”
Now is the Time, which will take place on Tuesday February 2 at Barleycroft Healthy Living Centre, will focus on building self confidence, motivation, assertiveness and time management skills.
The event will also address business naming, structure and registration, and issues of legal and financial responsibility.
Other workshops will be taking place in Beaumont Leys throughout February.
A free Valentines Day meal for clients has also been scheduled, where there will be a presentation sponsored by John Lewis.
The Valentines event – held at award winning restaurant San Carlos – is free for clients to attend.
Miss Mistry said: “The only requirement is that they are women living in Leicester.”
