Leicester Asylum Seeker and Refugee Voluntary Sector Forum seeks new members
What is the Leicester Voluntary Sector Forum (VSF):

  • a collection of voluntary sector organisations/groups and individuals established in 2000, working together to support asylum seekers and refugees
  • a mechanism for co-operative working, networking  and information sharing to meet the needs of asylum seekers and refugees,
  • a campaigning/lobbying group involved in promoting positive perceptions and raising awareness of asylum seekers and refugees and their communities

The Forum meets bi-monthly & works alongside the Leicester Multi Agency Forum and New Arrivals Strategy Group. Every year it carries out a survey of destitute asylum seekers in Leicester and produces a report of its findings.

If you are part of an organisation or group helping refugees and asylum seekers, want to get involved in challenging local and national government policy plus campaigning, raising awareness and promoting a positive perception of asylum seekers and refugees then why not join us?

For an informal chat and to find out more please contact
: Amanda Soraghan at Refugee Action on (0116) 261 6209
