The second Literary Leicester Festival is taking place from Wednesday 11th- Saturday 14th November at the University of Leicester’s David Wilson Library, and will include an exciting array of events to celebrate the written word.

Leicester University Theatre (LUT) has developed a strong reputation as an innovative and exciting acting group. They recently received critical acclaim for a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe.
LUT will perform extracts from Pinter’s The Homecoming, The Birthday Party and Mountain Language. There will also be an interlude and discussion with Martin Stannard, Professor of Modern English Literature in the University’s School of English, during the evening.
Nerissa Tilouche, an undergraduate who is directing the performance, said:
“A Celebration of Harold Pinter will look at Pinter’s political development and how he changed as a writer as his prestige and political activity grew. This will be done by looking at extracts and poems from his great body of work focused on this adjustment.
This hour allows the audience to have a peep hole into Pinter’s work and political stance.”
