Adult Learners Week 2010

Adult Learners Week 2010 thumbnail

Adult Learners’ Week Awards are celebrated in May each year
The Awards recognise the commitment and passion that adults bring to their learning.  The Awards are also a great way to celebrate learners’ achievements and to raise the profile of learning opportunities in your area.

Adult Learners’ Week is 15th-21st May 2010 – and is your chance to encourage adults to get involved in learning, to work with other organisations and partners to develop new opportunities for learning and tell everybody what you are doing!

It is also your opportunity to celebrate the achievements of your learners by nominating them for an award – the new, revised nomination forms are available on the website (http://www.niace.org.uk/alw/2010/) and or from Carol Taylor, Leicester and Leicestershire ALW Co-ordinator (Carolanne.taylor@niace.org.uk)
Nominations close on 29th January 2010

If you would like to find out more about Adult Learners’ Week (ALW), about nominating learners or organising events for 15-21 May please come to the free information workshop being held at
The Brite Centre, Braunstone Avenue, Braunstone, Leicester LE3 1LE on January 6th 10.30am to 1.00pm.

You can also go to the website http://www.niace.org.uk/alw/2010/ for information about the week and to find out more about the awards, last years winners and to download nomination forms.
