Nominations for the Community Achievement Awards

Nominations for the Community Achievement Awards thumbnail

As part of the Black History Season, The African Caribbean Centre will be hosting the 7th African & African Caribbean Community Achievement Awards Show on Saturday 28th November 2009.

The Awards focus on people within the city of Leicester, or who have a connection with Leicester, doing ordinary things well. The people to be nominated play a great role in the community, enriching the life of others. We want to celebrate this by promoting positive images in our diverse community.

As part of the event we need you, the community, to elect the recipients of the Awards.
Please help us to make the selections using the following criteria:
1. Must be aged between 16 and over
2. Must live in Leicestershire or have a connection with Leicester
3. Must be able to demonstrate the work they have done within the community,
by empowering/helping others in a paid/voluntary capacity.

Nominations need to be returned to the African Caribbean Citizens Forum office, no later
that Friday 28th August 2009.
