Leicester Writers’ Club present: Berlie Doherty – Writing with Children in Mind

Adult Education College, Wellington Street, Leicester.

A compulsive writer of novels, plays, stories and poetry for all ages since 1982. Berlie Doherty has written over fifty books.

She has won many awards around the world, including the Carnegie Medal for Dear Nobody and for Granny was a Buffer Girl.

Many of her books are set in the Peak District, where she now lives, and where she spends her spare time walking, day-dreaming, and making music.
