The Big V Launch on Sunday 19th July

The Big V Lunch is happening on Sunday 19th July 2009. The aim is to bring communities, streets, neighbourhoods together for food and fun on one day across the whole of Britain!

The vinvolved team Leicestershire and Rutland have some funding which young people aged 16 25 can apply for to help them organise a big v lunch in their community!

The v grant can be used to help young people deliver volunteering activities relating to a big v lunch, this could be organising entertainment for a big v lunch in their street, helping to run sports, music or arts activities at a big v lunch.   Also young people can use the grant  to organise a big v lunch at their local Youth Centre, Park or Community centre for people in their local community. Grant money can be used for lots of things including materials to decorate their street/youth centre, promotional leaflets and food and drink.

Young people can apply for 50 per person aged 16-25 involved in organising their big v lunch or volunteering activities relating to a big v lunch. The application form is easy to fill in and there are 2 deadlines for applying for the big v grant:
