Sculpture Weekend at Belgrave Hall

The beautiful walled gardens of Belgrave Hall once again play host to a weekend of creative brouhaha, with the Say it With Sculpture Weekend on 6th and 7th June. This wonderful event is suitable for the whole family and it is absolutely free!

The Spark Children’s Arts Festival presents the weekend led by a team of visual artists who will help families create 3D work of all shapes and sizes. You will be cutting, hammering, sticking, winding, wrapping and who knows what else with all sorts of materials. A great event for families to get stuck in and create something together, the Say it With Sculpture Weekend with Barclays Commercial as the Event Partner, sees staff volunteers rolling up their sleeves to help at this hands-on event for local children.

The Say it With Sculpture Weekend follows the success of last year’s event which resulted in amazing creations from kids of all ages. Together with Cross Corners Community Arts (next to Belgrave Hall) The Spark Festival has been holding free monthly Sculpture Workshops for families who like to get hands on and arty. Be part of something spectacularly sculptural on the 6th and 7th. Bring a picnic and stay for the day or just drop in and discover your inner Anthony Gormley!

The Say it With Sculpture Weekend will run from 10am until 4pm on the 6th and 7th June. All children must be accompanied by an adult. This is a free event, but for more information call 0116 261 2730.

The Spark Children’s Arts Festival runs from 25th May until 7th June. Visit www.sparkfestival.co.uk or call 0116 261 6893.
