Just created a facebook page (the link above). Adjusted the logo slightly as not sure who owns the one above. See you all on Tuesday.

    ‘Deaf-Zine became DZine…’

The above is not entirely true. I designed the dz logo. Also the first issue of dzine too. dzine need to be kept separate from Deafzine, so can you please re-word the introduction on facebook about ‘deafzine to become dzine’, thanks to prevent confusing deaf people. Let me know if you need designing next issue, I happy to do so if you supply content. Its something i like doing anyway (as you can see from my previous deafzine and dzine issues) Contact me if need more info. Jackie

Jackie. Apologises for this. I’m raising this with Ian tomorrow. I understand this is not correct and it was NOT explained this way either so it will be corrected. Don’t need any confusion. Are you still happy for us to use the Dzine logo you created? I’m just trying to get the dzine news agency moving again because its been dorment since you stopped doing it. Its too important to not get going again. We meet every Tuesday at 11am in the training room at BBC Radio Leicester. This now run by the Community mEdia Training School for all the 11 news agencies. Deafzine is needed more than ever so hope you are going to do it again!!JC

Sorry for the confusion, that’s how I understood it. I guess I got that wrong then. I’ll just go and adjust the facebook page now…..

On 25th January 2010, the Facebook page was edited and the relevant corrections have been made and it has now (today) been linked with Twitter.

Can I also bring to your attention that the Phoenix Square has what I think will be a FANTASTIC show on THIS SUNDAY (7th February 2010) at 8pm. Two comedians with disabilities, Liz Carr (of BBC’s Ouch! program fame) and Steve Day (a deaf stand-up commedian), for your entertainment – tickets are only £8 standard/£6 concessions. Here’s the link:

    https://tickets.phoenix.org.uk/visinternetticketing/visMovieInfo.aspx?MovieName=Leicester+Comedy+Festival+-+Liz+Carr+%26+Steve+Day&AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1

Ian will be out of the editing room again and will be there to see what all the fuss is all about.
