Citizens Eye received this request from the organisers of the Eyres Monsell Community Summer Event who are seeking community groups or organisations who would like to have a stall:

“On Saturday 21 June we are holding the Eyres Monsell Community Summer Event.

This event will include sports activities and the inaugural running of the ‘Monsell Mile’ family fun run; along with a sports and international culture opening ceremony with fancy dress parade. There will also be a range of information stalls, refreshments, climbing wall, and family fun activities.

We are writing to ask if your group or organisation would like to be part of this event by having a stall. We would welcome stalls from community groups and organisations wanting to provide information or showcase their work and activities. The event is being held on the Eyres Monsell Recreation Ground (the open park area) opposite the Eyres Monsell Community Centre on Hillsborough Road. The Community Centre is also hosting parts of the event. The event will run from 1:00pm to 5:00pm, and will be officially opened by a special guest.

The event is being organised and supported by Leicester City Council, Leicester City Council Sports Services, the Eyres Monsell Neighbourhood Housing Office, local Police, the Eyres Monsell & Gilmorton Forum, and local schools. If you would like to book a stall please complete and return the attached form. If you require any further information at this stage please do not hesitate to contact us.”
