Has your community group got something to say? Soft Touch can help

Posted on 10 April 2008 by John Coster

I spoke to Helen Pearson, Co-director of Soft Touch Arts at the Refugee Week Steering Committee meeting. She has invited Citizens Eye to visit and see the work they do with community groups but in the meantime wanted to draw your attention to their excellent website and the Project Gallery section in particular.

Their Home Page says:

“We carry out projects with community groups who have something to say and need a way to say it.

We are committed to working with groups of under-represented people to enable them to express themselves through discussion, creative group work and skills development. We enable participants in projects to build the confidence to present their ideas using a range of arts based media, with a view to effecting positive change.”

I can thoroughly recommend Soft Touch Arts. They are truly outstanding and have a well-deserved reputation for the quality of their work and their dedication to the cause of disadvantaged and marginalised groups.
